Nothing is more beautiful and awe inspiring than the land around me!
I've lived in the Pacific Northwest all of my life and have never taken for granted the wild, serene, lush, stark landscapes that are swirling around any given moment. The desire to capture that intense beauty is exactly why I paint!
Art has been a cherished part of my life since kindergarten....I recall with excited anticipation my turn at the clunky, wooden easel, with fat brushes, and the smell of thick tempera paint!
My Mother, among others, always an avid supporter, creating opportunities, encouraging me all the while....
I began with water color, then soft pastels, now acrylics,and next oils...focusing in on the abundant light and color of Landscapes.
After years of careers and 3 children I'm able to dive into what's been deep inside...the call to be an Artist..wholeheartedly!
